Don't you just hate that orange VRMLWorld bar at the top of the screen?
You can use a feature of Microsoft Internet Explorer to launch
a world without the banner. The secret is to position your mouse over the
snapshot of a world and use the right mouse button. When the popup
menu appears, select "Open Link in New Window".
Once you have eliminated the orange banner, select View/Full Screen
using the menu bar in Microsoft Internet Explorer to get that real video
game feel.
Who knows, you might even forget you are using VRML. |

Rick,
I guess I can understand how that orange VRMLWorld.net titlebar could get on some peoples' nerves, but for whatever grain of sand the vote of one registered member is worth, I hope you never change it.
Somehow, that orange bar is part of what keeps My universe stable in My quest to build a VRML community platform as good or better than bxx out of public domain and public license software (part of the license agreement will include agreeing with every other license involved) and to then give it away as a free public download.
Of course, as developments occur that might be of benefit to VRMLWorld (such as some upcoming work concerning the subject of text-to-speech), I'll be more than happy to offer the solution in the most appropriate section of these message boards.
Naturally also, any suggestions would be more than appreciated. You're the man, Rick. I'm just somebody who wants to see VRML communities spring up like a field of opium poppies on the internet, and My solution is to create such a platform by giving away all of the programs to download, and instructions so that everything will be done in the proper order. I'm running this on a copy of Windows 98, so that means anybody with recent hardware and a cable connection can do it by installing indigoperl (which includes Apache, Php and Sql in one neat package) and a few more things in the right order, and every bit of it is legal to give away.
Be well and safe,
Zed
p.s. Okay, I realize perfectly that I got off on a bit of a tangent there... I just haven't run across you lately in the virtual world, so I wanted to clue you in on what I've been working on, using DeepMatrix because I can't seem to get anything else. [hint hint] _________________ =Zed Zordaan= |
