[color=orange]Hello everyone! I am back after a long hiatus and ready for some VRML. Anyone else ready? Cool

I am currently working on a world that hopefully everyone will enjoy. It is basically a big construction site but not just mounds of dirt. there will be working machinery, many gizmos to play with, a model home that could possibly lead to something else down the road. The world probably won't be done for awhile since there is SOOooo much scripting and planning to do with it but many things are taking shape and I have alot of the scripting done as well. I will post a screenshot here of just a few of the things i have going so far.

Comments, ideas and questions are always welcome. Please don't hesitate to ask me questions also if you wish to know or learn something new in vrml and scripting. I am not as knowledgable as the masters, Vcard and Rick but I can probably answer quite a few.

I look foreward to seeing more people take an interest in VRML and know that it will regain some popularity in the months to come.

Brother-in VR,

Laz

I hope to see you all in world Smile

I am making steady progress on parts of the world and now have one of the attractions mostly complete. Complete at least to give everyone a sneak preview. I may still make some changes to this piece but at least it is semi-functional now. I still havent decided whether or not to add a viewpoint to this or not for a ride. It seems to me it looks kind of cool to operate it in remote control fashion! LOL

Anyways, have a peek and let me know what you all think.

P.S. This is not the terrain or background for the completed world. Just one i whipped together fast for display purposes. I actually haven't committed to those yet because I want to have all the components done and build the terrain around what I need it to fit. hehe

I have been making some great progress on my world as of late. I have alot of the content done and just waiting to put it all together and tie in control protos . The thing that is taking me the longest is the model home for this world. There will be a control module that will enable the user to change aspects of the house to their taste. (well that is if any of the textures i make are likable.) Smile

It's very tedious business since every room in the house not only needs a wall but needs inner an outer walls. they all need windows and doors. everything is very exacting so it is taking some time but once i finish modelling that puppy it should go faster. i'll then be able to devote alot of time to getting the control proto functioning and implimented.

Until that time comes i took a few screenshots of some of the content that will be in this world. I hope you enjoy them. Smile

I keep getting sidetracked... either that or i need an occasional break from the monotonous tasks and find something else to make. lol. anyways i made a fireplace that will go in the model home. It's actually part of an older proto i made for a fireplace but i made new geometry and improved on the functions a bit. I figure i'll drop one in the basement and one in the main living area.

The fire toggles on and off by clicking the firewood. there is particle fire, roaring flames sound and an interpolator that is fed by script to control ambient intensity in a tiny point light inside the pit.

I have been making some very good progress on the world. I have most of the hard modelling work done on the house, the garage is making good progress as well and I also have a gazebo done to put out back by the pond. pretty soon i'll start grinding away at getting everything functioning! Razz

My only hope is that someone is actually around to see it online by then. lol

hope everyone is doing well Cool
