Well Rick's used his admin powers to turn one of my replies here into a blog oh well
Might as well talk about some of the ABNet2 testing and general mucking around i've been doing.
First was the load testing, it seems Rick never did have enough horse power to really stress the server. From memory it was 12 clients at once we got to before my computer's copy of directX said 'no more 3d windows please'. This is also when the need to open a pass through port on the firewalls was found, otherwise computers on a local network can't connect.
The next thing me and Rick talked about was, customization of the chat, ie the javascript and html panel. Its basically a case of doing a bit of DIY on the javascript to add anything which isn't there.
When the new world list appeared I found Rick testing shared events, a small overslight was found in the naming of one set of events, which rick fixed. That done I modified my office elevator world to use ABNet2 SharedEvents. |

Boxing Days sales ?
Nah just abuse of microsoft products, today we torture IE6 and DirectX.
After testDummy6 things went a little strange, with 7 not showing 6 entering the chat, 8 not showing 7. After 10 it sorted itself out, probably bandwidth issues at my end.
This from contact when I tried to Enter with TestDummy17

Laughably it rendered the scene anyway.
So there you have it 17 copies of ABNet2 running in one copy of IE. Sure IE is using 187 meg of ram and 98% of the 3Ghz class CPU. No serious memory leaks noticed, and it certainly hasn't crashed. |

My website is offline at the moment, got plans on how to fix it, but will take a few days.
Me and Vcard are doing some more experiments involving avatars, not going to say any more than that |
