Hi Rick. Downloaded your software and, after a few false starts, Got working locally. I then started my web server and launched it. Works great! The initial setup/logon kind of reminds me of setting up a blaxxun frameset. I launched my world and then created a link to it on my website. With my webserver running and the link it is immediately accessible whether I am in the world or not. Great job on the program. I tried it out, seems to work fine. However everyone is named
Omind, is that on purpose : ) ?

I hope everyone realizes that you don't have to run your own
chat server to share your worlds. All you need to do is enter
your world url in the abnet2/indexc.html page or use the
frameset.php script

Kind of figured that out after the fact. Did it for grins anyway. Hot sure why Everyone is Omind. One is more than enough

javascript in the contactax.html page parses the http query arguments
to determine which world to load, what the users's name is, and which
avatar to use

In the url you above there a many query arguments.

ts ... a timestamp .. usually you change this each request to prevent caching
username .. in your case this is why everyone is called Omind just change it to something else to have a different name
x3durl ... this determines which 3d world is loaded btw it can be vrml or x3d
avatarurl .. this determines which avatar you use

The idea is that you can customize this stuff and create your own login form in html or flash page or whatever as long as you provide the correct query arguments in the URL.

Note: you need to htmlescape all values.

You are right. I figured that out too. Came from merely linking after filling out the form. Every entry thinks it's Omind. As I said, it was just a start. I am going back and fixing it up. I am not as HTML or Java savvy as most, and am still learning. I just wanted to put up a link that would work while the Blaxxun server was down. Again, tho, it is a great little server program and my hat is off to you and other people that can do this.
