Hi,
Ok, I was about to post it here
To simplify, we end up adopting the same icons and syntax used in this board, they are for the moment:
plus the rose @};- (not used here, only in the 3D chat)
To see the actual list of smiley chars used please open this text file:
http://www.odisseia.univ-ab.pt/ABNet2/icons/iconlist.htm
We may eventually extend the list. If someone thinks that other icons are already needed please say it here.

the new ABNet2 Interface: BABEL
Is available
New functions
New look and new functions for users and world builders:
1a)- The user can now choose a Theme, among several available, and keep it (by cookie)
1b)- The world builder can define a Theme for his world that will automatically be activated on world entry.
2a)- All registered worlds have, from now on, a info window available inside the interface and opened by the "i" button at lower right menu. It shows the thumb image of the world and a direct hyperlink to builder's home page.
2b)- The Info window can be configured by world builder to open automatically at world entry.
3)- The info window can be configured as a larger window and have inside html pages created by the world builder and read from his own server, so this guarantees the maximum flexibility.
Buttons to minimise/maximise and close simplify it for users and world builders.
This window can be easily positioned by builders inside the 3D window and used for world needs with total html easiness and flexibility of content (flash, videos, animations, databases, etc).
Examples

How to use these new features?
User features are already accessible. Builder specific definitions and use Will be explained soon
Please feel free to comment and suggest

I love the new interface VC. It has come full circle now and the Abnet Interface officially has more freindly interface than old blaxx frames and much more stable to boot. The tiny window has all sorts of possibilities and I look forward to putting it to the test with other worlds i build. I can see this being useful for world functions as well from a web interface.
Keep up the good work! |

Glad you like it
I would like to announce that 4 new avatars where added to avatar pick in Abnet interface: Luci, Lu, Josi and Chuck, all new and made by Laz
I enjoyed the sit and sleepy gestures
Who said AV Studio was old? Get the ZAP extension from http://vrml.alleyweb.co.uk/zap.htm and add a talented creator, you will think otherwise
