One of the biggest complaint from users, about moving to
BS Contact 6.x and 7.X is the floating logo on unlicensed
players.

This is no longer a problem. Vrmlworld.net worlds are licensed.

Content from vrmlworld.net should no longer have the
BS Contact floating logo.

http://vrmlworld.net/lobby/lobby.wrl should show up
without the logo : )

Er ... well ... I still have the box in the corner. I'm using version 6.1 which does not have the rambling box .... just the static corner box. So no difference.

Did you purchase a site licence?

Yes, I tested it with a few people and it worked. But I didn't
ask them what operating system they had. When I tried
it on a Windows XP SP2 machine the logo wouldn't go
away for me either.

Yes, vrmlworld.net has a domain license for bs contact now.

I sent them an email asking how to solve this problem.

Are you sure you used http://vrmlworld.net/lobby/lobby.wrl?

If you use http://www.vrmlworld.net/lobby/lobby.wrl the
logo will be there. My license only works with http://vrmlworld.net/

Could you verify that you are using the shorter version?

Thanks.

hi rick,

Yes I used the shorter version .... check the screen capture I sent .... I deliberately included the location box just to make sure I had the right url as I know Bitmanagement licence specific domains.

Do you have 7.0 installed? Could you try that?

Griff, from the snapshot you sent me, it looks like you
are running an older version of 6.1 than is available
on the bitmanagement site. Maybe that would work better.

I just tested with Russ and he was having the same
problem as you. He was running an early version of
6.1 When he updated to the latest version, the logo
went away and it also solved his connection problems.

News from bitmanagement that the price of non-commercial site activation or personal license to remove the floating logo may be reduced to just 1 Euro. The new license is to be called BS Artist, in exchange they may link to the site for promotional purposes. Some details are at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/worldbuildersguild/message/13752
